UPSC declares date for CBRT examination

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conduct the Combined Computer Based Recruitment Test (CBRT) on May 10 from 2 pm to 4 pm. The recruitment test will be held  for the recruitment of Senior Administrative Officers Grade-I and Grade-II posts for 28 vacancies.

Dispur (Guwahati)
Chennai
Nagpur
Lucknow
Jammu
Port Blair

Syllabus:
The CBRT test will consist of broad areas in the topics like General English and General Ability.

General English (Part A):
The candidates will be tested on their understanding of English Language and the usage of words

General Ability (Part B):
The General Ability section will include:
Indian Union and International Affairs including Current Affairs
Personnel Management and Industrial Relations
General Mental Ability
General Science
Computer awareness and basic knowledge of office automation software such as Microsoft Word or Excel
Office Management and Procedure.

CBRT exam will be held for 2 hours. The examination will carry 100 marks and will be based on objective type questions. The Part B of the question paper will be set in both Hindi and English.
For every right answer, the candidates will be awarded one mark. Whereas, for every wrong answer, one-third marks will be deducted.

UPSC conducts Civil Services Examination, Engineering Services Examination, Combined Defence Services Examination, National Defence Academy Examination, Naval Academy Examination, Combined Medical Services Examination, Special Class Railway Apprentice, Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service Examination, Geologists' Examination, and Central Armed Police Forces(Assistant Commandant) Examination.
