Haryana to take action against institutes claiming recognition of foreign universities

In order to control the errant private institutes in Gurgaon claiming recognition from foreign universities, Haryana Government is planning to take legal action against them. Higher Education department is preparing a list of private colleges in state, which claim affiliation with foreign universities, but do not have it.
“We have received information that several thousand students are pursuing professional courses in business administration, computer application and other streams from these colleges. We will try to take disciplinary action in a manner which affects as fewer students as possible,” said a senior official close to the developments.
Higher education department of the state government is collecting complete data related to these institutes and after verification process, disciplinary action will be taken against them.
