The Uttar Pradesh college teachers’ associations have called off their boycott on the assurance of the Chief Minister. A group of five teachers, representing different associations in state met Akhilesh Yadav who assured them of looking into their damands.
“CM assured to look into our demands,” Chittranjan Mishra, President, federation of UP residential universities teachers’ association said. He said that CM said a new Government Order will be issued to work out the promotion criteria of teachers as per new University Grants Commision (UGC) regulations.
The teachers of all the affiliated colleges and residential universities from across the state are demanding the payment of arrears of the sixth pay commission since came into effect.
