सूक्ष्म, लघु और मध्यम उद्यम सम्मेलन में मुख्यमंत्री

मुख्यमंत्री श्री शिवराज सिंह चौहान ने कहा है कि देश के विकास में मध्यप्रदेश महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दे रहा है। अब मध्यप्रदेश देश के अग्रणी राज्यों में से एक है। प्रदेश की अर्थव्यवस्था को गतिशील बनाने के लिये बड़े उद्योगों के साथ लघु और कुटीर उद्योगों का जाल बिछाया जायेगा। मुख्यमंत्री श्री चौहान भोपाल में 1 मार्च को संभागीय सूक्ष्म, लघु एवं मध्यम उद्यम सम्मेलन के उद्घाटन सत्र में संबोधित कर रहे थे। उन्होंने इस मौके पर पांचवीं एमपीएक्सपोर्टेक का शुभारंभ भी किया।

 श्री चौहान ने कहा है कि आज प्रदेश की कृषि विकास दर 18.9 प्रतिशत है, जबकि देश की विकास दर 3 प्रतिशत है। मध्यप्रदेश की विकास दर 11.98 प्रतिशत है, जबकि देश की विकास दर 5 प्रतिशत है। इस तरह देश के विकास में मध्यप्रदेश का उल्लेखनीय योगदान है। प्रदेश के विकास में लघु और मध्यम उद्योगों की महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका है। सम्मेलन के दौरान किए गए करारनामों को वचन पत्र मानकर राज्य शासन कार्रवाई करेगा। इन्दौर में आयोजित ग्लोबल इन्वेस्टर्स मीट में किए गए एम.ओ.यू. में से 90 प्रतिशत में निवेशकों को भूमि आवंटित की जा चुकी है।

 मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा है कि प्रदेश में पिछले नौ वर्षों में सिंचाई क्षमता साढ़े 7 लाख हैक्टेयर से बढ़कर 25 लाख हैक्टेयर तक पहुंचायी गयी है। गांवों में आगामी मई के अंत 24 घंटे बिजली दी जायेगी। उन्होंने कहा कि लघु उद्योगों से जुड़ी समस्याओं का समाधान प्राथमिकता से किया जायेगा। लघु उद्योगों पर दोहरे कर का बोझ नहीं आने दिया जायेगा। हम मध्यप्रदेश के युवाओं में उद्यमिता का भाव पैदा करना चाहते हैं। उसके लिये मुख्यमंत्री स्व-रोजगार योजना शुरू की गयी है। जिसमें युवाओं द्वारा उद्योग स्थापित करने के लिये 25 लाख रुपये तक के ऋण की गारंटी राज्य सरकार देगी, साथ ही 5 वर्ष तक 5 प्रतिशत ब्याज अनुदान भी राज्य सरकार देगी। उन्होंने कहा कि हर बड़े गांव में एक छोटा बाजार विकसित किया जायेगा। कारीगरों को प्रशिक्षण देने का काम बड़े पैमाने पर किया जायेगा। प्रदेश में स्किल डेवलपमेंट का व्यापक कार्यक्रम चलाया जा रहा है। जिसके तहत प्रदेश में 113 कौशल विकास केन्द्र शुरू किए गए हैं, 200 और केंद्र खोले जा रहे हैं।

 मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि बायर्स सेलर्स मीट अब हर साल होगी, अगले वर्ष इसका आयोजन आठ और नौ मार्च को किया जायेगा। प्रदेश के लघु उद्यमियों द्वारा तैयार किये गये उत्पादों की ब्रांडिंग में सरकार मदद करेगी। गुणवत्तापूर्ण उत्पादों से बाजार में स्थान बनाया जा सकता है। उन्होंने कहा कि हार्टिकल्चर और फ्लोरी कल्चर में व्यापक संभावनाएं हैं। कृषि पर आधारित खाद्य प्रसंस्करण उद्योगों को प्रदेश में प्रोत्साहित किया जा रहा है।

 वाणिज्य एवं उद्योग मंत्री श्री कैलाश विजयवर्गीय ने कहा है कि वर्ष 2014 में मध्यप्रदेश पावर सरप्लस वाला प्रदेश होगा। मध्यप्रदेश में आगामी दस साल की विकास योजना बनायी गयी है। प्रदेश के विकास में लघु और मध्यम उद्योगों की भूमिका महत्वपूर्ण है। कृषि क्षेत्र में देश की प्रगति में मध्यप्रदेश का महत्वपूर्ण योगदान है। इन्दौर में सम्पन्न ग्लोबल इन्वेस्टर्स मीट में किये गये 117 एम.ओ.यू. में से 104 में भूमि आवंटित की जा चुकी है।

 मुख्य सचिव श्री आर. परशुराम ने कहा कि प्रदेश में निवेश के लिये किये गये एम.ओ.यू. के समयबद्ध क्रियान्वयन के लिये कार्यक्रम बनाया गया है। विभिन्न स्वीकृतियां देने की प्रक्रिया का सरलीकरण किया गया है।

UP college, university teachers calls of boycott; CM assures

The teachers of all the affiliated colleges and residential universities from across the state are demanding the payment of arrears of the sixth pay commission since came into effect. UGC sets up committee to examine whether NET exam serves any purpose

The University Grants Commission has set up a new committee to examine whether the National Eligibility Test (NET) is actually effective in its role as a gatekeeper for all those who seek to teach in the Indian university system. HRD ministry to give distance education a leg-up

To give a fillip to distance education in India, the HRD has decided on a new mechanism which will enable faster and transparent clearance to new distance education institutes and courses. The ministry last week decided that all distance education proposals will be discussed once every month by a joint committee of the University Grants Commission (UGC), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), the three higher education regulatory bodies.

Educational Requirements: Good knowledge of English, should be proficient in working on crystalline quartz and amorphous forms, should be able to fuse, seal, modify different forms of quartz and pyrex according to specific design for scientific experiments, should be able to use vacuum or inert gases. Record 17 lakh vie for 1,500 SBI posts

MUMBAI: State Bank of India has received a record 17 lakh applications for a mere 1,500 probationary officer positions the bank had advertised for. This is the highest response for bank officers' positions. In 2009, in the wake of the global crisis, the bank had received close to 36 lakh

MUMBAI: State Bank of India has received a record 17 lakh applications for a mere 1,500 probationary officer positions the bank had advertised for. This is the highest response for bank officers' positions. In 2009, in the wake of the global crisis, the bank had received close to 36 lakh applications for 11,000 clerical positions.

"This time, we had given the advertisement a good profile, highlighting the position of SBI and describing the compensation package in detail, which attracted a lot of attention," said chairman Pratip Chaudhuri. He added that earlier the advertisements were like 'tender' advertisements, merely providing information about the job and eligibility criteria. One of the attractions of a probationary officer's job is the promise of official accommodation. In a city like Mumbai, the bank would provide rent allowance to the tune of Rs 31,000.

This results in the compensation for a Mumbai probationary officer amounting to Rs 69,000 a month — higher than the starting package in some private banks. SBI does posses its own quarters but these are way below employee housing requirements.

"Candidates for entry level jobs are fungible — that is, the same type of candidate applies for jobs across sectors including telecom, insurance and other jobs in the service sector. This year, hiring by all others sectors is down, which might have resulted in a more candidates chasing banking jobs," said a senior official with a private bank.

The generous benefits offered by SBI has resulted in the bank drawing applications from a wide spectrum of candidates, including those working for other banks. The bank factors in 10-15% attrition during the years because often successful candidates do not get a posting close to home or of their preference.

The bank has decided to interview all the 17 lakh candidates in a competitive examination. "We have conducted such examinations in the past by hiring schools across the country. This time, we may have to do two shifts," said Chaudhuri. Candidates would be given random papers and, to discourage cheating, adjacent candidates will get different papers.
